Crabtree’s College Football Rankings for Division I-A and I-AA

will be published weekly throughout the college football season

beginning on Monday, October 18th

Division I-A

Will LSU or USC end the year at the top?  Will Oklahoma rebound from last year’s disappointing finish?  Will any non-BCS teams make a run for the national championship?  These questions and many more will be answered when Crabtree’s College Football Rankings are published beginning on Monday, October 18th, and each week thereafter throughout the season, exclusively on this website.

Division I-AA

What teams will make up Division I-AA’s 16 team playoff this year?  Will Delaware win the national championship again, or will another team surprise everyone and rise to the top in the playoffs?  These questions and many more will be answered when Crabtree’s College Football Rankings are published beginning on Monday, October 18th, and each week thereafter throughout the season, exclusively on this website.

Crabtree’s Playoff Proposals

One of the biggest controversies in college football today is whether or not Division I-A should adopt a full 16 team playoff.  To help solve the controversy, I have developed a playoff proposal for Division I-A that gives college football fans the 16 team playoff they desperately want, while also satisfying University Presidents and Chancellors by leaving the entire bowl system in tact and not playing any games during final exam week.  You can read about how my proposal works at Crabtree’s Playoff Proposal.

Some other major controversies in college football are the two different subjective systems used by Division I-A and I-AA to select teams for post season games.  To help solve these controversies, I have developed a fair and objective ranking system to be used to select and seed teams for post season play.  You can read more about why my easy to understand Rankings are a great improvement over the current selection systems at Why College Football Should Use My Rankings.
